Kathmandu: The Epidemiology and Infectious Disease Control Division has recorded 14 thousand 2 hundred cases of dengue infection across the country so far.
Director of Epidemiology and Infectious Disease Control Division Dr. Rudra Marasini informed that Sunsari district alone had reported 9 thousand dengue cases.
Dr. Marasini urged all to be vigilant as dengue infection starts with rainy season and can last till Dashain-Tihar festivals. He added that 10 people lost their lives due to dengue infection.
Sunsari, Dhading and Morang districts have witnessed the most cases of dengue infection, while Dolpa and Mugu districts have zero infections so far.
