Kathmandu, Nov 19: The third national health summit of the Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has been rescheduled for November 26-27. The venue for the summit is the Karki Banquet in Babarmahal, Kathmandu.
The conference which was actually scheduled for September 29-30 was postponed indefinitely due to various reasons, said the NMA.
The slogan for the health conference is ‘Promotion of quality health services: opportunities and challenges’. Minister for Health and Population Mohan Bahadur Basnet will be the chief guest for the event. There will be discussions and debates in six categories, said the NMA.
The issues to be discussed are the achievements of the second national health summit, discovery, research and innovation for the development of medical science, health economics for the upgradation of the healthcare system, strengthening safe healthcare delivery, the health system for equal services, and quality services for quality healthcare.
Experts, intellectuals, leaders and stakeholders will directly participate in the conference, said the NMA.
