Kathmandu, Feb 26: Afreen Akhter, Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) of the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs for Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and the Maldives has arrived in Nepal.
During her visit, DAS Akhter is scheduled to meet with government officials, civil society representatives, and members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Nepal (AmCham Nepal) to discuss various issues.
The issues to be discussed range from how the bilateral relationship between the United States and Nepal supports the development of Nepal’s education and health sectors, democratic institutions, and economic opportunities, it has been informed.
