Kathmandu, Feb 27: The mortal remains of veteran singer and composer, Bhaktaraj Acharya, have been placed at the Nepal Academy of Music and Drama since 11:00 am today for individuals to pay their last tributes to him.

Kushma Mahara, the Academy’s member-secretary, said that people from various walks of life, particularly those from the music field, have gathered at the Academy to pay homage to the renowned singer, who passed away on Monday at the age of 82.

Scheduled to visit the Academy are Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati, along with other senior government officials, to bid final adieu to the singer honored with the title of ‘Bhajan Siromani’ in Nepal’s musical realm.
