Kathmandu, March 28: A high level delegation from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) led by Gisela Hammerschmidt, Director for Asia, have arrived in Nepal.
On the first day of the visit, the delegation met and discussed with members of a rural community the advantages of modern energy on their health and everyday life. Since 2009 the multi-donor project EnDev has been supporting access to modern energy systems in Nepal.
Energising Development (EnDev) is an energy access partnership currently financed by four countries: the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, and Switzerland. EnDev promotes sustainable access to modern energy services that meet the needs of the poor – long-lasting, affordable, and appreciated by users.
