The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has suspended the national team captain Sandeep Lamichhane. A teenage girl filed a rape complaint against him and on Thursday District Court Kathmandu issued an arrest warrant against Sandeep.
According to Acting Secretary Prashanthavikram Malla, the performance committee meeting of CAN held on Thursday decided to suspend Sandeep from the national team. Mall said that he was suspended because the court had already issued an arrest warrant.
