KATHMANDU: Some 82 tourists, who were stranded in Manang due to adverse weather conditions, were rescued.
The tourists, both domestic (9) and foreign (73), were stranded because of adverse weather caused by incessant rainfall.
Lekhnath Gautam, Chief of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project, said the tourists were stranded due to the incessant rainfall that occurred since last Tuesday.
Since landslides have obstructed the roads in the mountainous district, a helicopter was used to rescue the stranded tourists, he said.
