Myagdi, Jan 12: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed his commitment to give priority to the development projects of Myagdi district. During the party cadres’ meeting organized by the Nepali Congress Myagdi in Beni today, President Deuba expressed his commitment to support in the development of roads, river control, health infrastructure, and development of religious tourism in the district.
He further committed to coordinating with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to accelerate developmental projects. Former Prime Minister Deuba expressed this while receiving the demand letter from NC district committee here today.
Kham Bahadur Garbuja, NC Myagdi President and member of the House of Representatives, submitted a demand letter to Deuba regarding managing the budget for priority projects in the district. Upon receiving the demand letter, President Deuba promised to discuss with the Prime Minister and ministers and take initiatives for the implementation of the plan.
The demand letter calls for upgrading of the Beni-Darwang-Muna-Dhorpatan road to develop it as an alternative to the Baglung section of the mid-hill highway, for installation of a Bailey bridge at the Phaparkhet on the Beni-Darwang road, and for construction of erosion control project in Beni Bazar, of the Beni-Pakhapani-Malkwang ring road, and of the Pokhrebgar-Ghodepani-Kaski.
