Kathmandu: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal asserted that tourism sector was the major basis for country’s prosperity.

Inaugurating the 11th Tarebhir Festival at Gokarneshwor Municipality in Kathmandu today, Minister Dahal highlighted Nepal’s appeal among the foreign tourists noting that the sector was crucial for earning foreign currency.

Tarebhir Festival has been held annually since 2060 BS to promote local tourism.
According to him, the government is dedicated to boosting the rural economy by improving and expanding the road networks and developing infrastructures in unique tourism destinations across the country.
On the occasion, the locals presented the DPR of the Tarebhir Ring Road to Minister Dahal.

Likewise, former Minister for Physical Infrastructure of Bagmati Province viewed that the construction of Ring Road would help boost economic activities and also ease the lives residing in dozen of rural settlements in Kathmandu.
