Gorkha, Jan 25: Education Minister Bidya Bhattarai has stressed coordination of three-tiers of government for the development of education in Nepal.
Minister Bhattarai said each tier of government should be responsible for enhancing the quality education in the federal context. She said it while speaking in a press meet organized in the district headquarters today.
The Minister viewed the government was moving ahead with an action plan to enforce education for free of cost by 2083 BS. She also sought support from all sectors to materialize the action plan. “Education should be accelerated by recognizing and incorporating with entrepreneurships and employment,” she underlined, adding that vocational education could generate employment opportunities and enhance employability.
Minister Bhattarai shared that the School Education Act was currently under discussion in the Education Health and Information Technology Committee of the Parliament. It would be deliberated rigorously to fit the present needs and challenges facing school education and teachers.
