Dang, March 24: A fire has broken out at the Shangrila Plywood Industry in Khaira, Ghorahi Sub-municipal corporation-9. The fire which started at around 2:00 am early this morning is yet to come under control.
Chief District Officer Krishna Prasad Lamsal said that efforts are being made to extinguish the fire with the help of fire engines and water tankers from all over the district. Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and locals are working together to douse the fire.
Meanwhile, residents of the settlement near the plywood industry site have been evacuated considering the possibility of the fire spreading out to the settlement. Fire engines have also been summoned from from Banke and Rupandehi districts.
