Kathmandu, March 31: Suspended President of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSSP) Rabi Lamichhane has called upon the party cadres to be ready for a peaceful campaign to address the dissatisfaction of the people.
Addressing the well-wishers and cadres present at the party office, Chamati, before the party’s central committee meeting today, he said that he was returning to the party president leadership from today itself.
“We should be ready to address the grievance and anger among the people; nothing is going to happen by abusing anyone. The peaceful campaigns should not die,” he said.
Lamichhane had stayed away from the party’s activities after a case was filed against him on the conviction of cooperative fraud.
Since then, Dol Prasad Aryal has been functioning as the acting president of the RSP. Acting General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti informed that acting president Aryal will present a vote of thanks in today’s first meeting and the second meeting will be chaired by Lamichhane.
