Kathmandu, July 24: A delegation of the National Senior Citizens’ Federation (NASCIF) has met with President Ramchandra Paudel at the latter’s residence today.
During the meeting, the delegation requested for President Paudel’s support in ensuring representation of senior citizens in the National Assembly, reform in distribution of senior citizens’ allowance, distribution of allowance based on economic classification, citizenship to the stateless senior citizens, and promotion of the concept of joint families.
President Paudel mentioned that he would draw the attention of the concerned authorities toward the problems facing senior citizens.
