Kathmandu, Hon. Minister Arzu Rana Deuba held a meeting with a representative of the French government, during which an official invitation was extended on behalf of France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot, to participate in the 4th Conference on Feminist Foreign Policy (FFP).
France, one of the first countries to adopt a Feminist Foreign Policy and currently serving as the co-chair of the Feminist Foreign Policy Group (FFP+), is set to host the global dialogue in Paris. The conference will bring together ministers, policymakers, and experts from around the world to advance inclusive and gender-responsive foreign policy frameworks.
The French side expressed its strong interest in Nepal’s participation and highlighted the importance of Nepal’s perspectives in shaping global discussions on feminist diplomacy. The forthcoming visit by Nepal’s Foreign Minister to Paris is expected to further deepen bilateral ties and foster collaboration in the field of gender equality and international diplomacy.
