Kathmandu – A healthier Nepal begins with strong partnerships. The U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu hosted key health partners last night to reaffirm its commitment to strengthening Nepal’s health systems in collaboration with the Government of Nepal and development partners.
Patrick Gan, Chief of the U.S. Regional Environment Hub, will oversee USAID’s long-standing health programs in Nepal. Supported by regional and global health experts, these programs continue to focus on lifesaving work in areas such as HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health, and global health security.
Underscoring the United States’ commitment to partnership, the Embassy emphasized its support for Nepal’s path toward self-reliance in delivering quality healthcare services. Together with the Government of Nepal and international donors, the United States remains dedicated to promoting a resilient health system that can address current and future challenges.
