Kathmandu, Sept 9: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has resigned from his post. PM Oli resigned from office taking into consideration the adverse situation arisen in the country, according to PM Oli’s secretariat.
Oli, who was appointed the Prime Minister on July 15, 2024 in accordance with Article 76(2) of the Constitution of Nepal, has resigned from his post, to be effective from today, in line with Article 77(1) (a) of the constitution for further initiative for a constitutional political outlet and resolving the problem. This is stated in his resignation letter.
Oli, who is also the Chairman of the CPN (UML), was elected the Prime Minister for the latest time with the support of Nepali Congress and other parties.
