Kathmandu, Sept 13: Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Saturday visited the Civil Service Hospital in Minbhawan in the Capital City to meet the people who were injured during the Gen Z protests.

PM Karki visited the injured ones and took stock of their health condition, said the Executive Director of the Hospital, Prof Dr Mohan Chandra Regmi. “The PM took stock of the health condition of the injured. At the moment, they (the injured persons) informed the PM about their health condition, saying their sacrifices given for the nation will go in vain,” the Hospital’s Executive Director quoted the injured persons as saying.

The injured persons also said that the PM should end the deadlock and hoped that the next generation won’t have to stage protests. On the occasion, PM Karki expressed her commitment to take maximum efforts to bring about changes in the country’s situation.

According to Prof Dr Regmi, the hospital received a total of 457 patients since Monday and added that 44 of them were referred to other hospitals. Likewise, 364 patients returned home after their treatment.

Currently, 11 protestors are being treated in the hospital and the health condition of a protestor is critical, Prof Dr Regmi mentioned. Six protestors had died in the Civil Service Hospital during their treatment.
