The government of the United States of America has congratulated Ram Chandra Paudel on his appointment as the new President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.
“We would like to congratulate the newly elected Right Honourable President of Nepal Ram Chandra Paudel,” reads a statement issued by the US embassy here today, “The United States wishes him a successful tenure.” The newly elected President Ram Chandra Paudel assumed office at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas after taking the oath of office and secrecy earlier today.
Paudel was elected the President by a majority of the electoral college including members of federal parliament and the provincial assembly on March 9.
