Kathmandu : The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has made projections of its income and expenditure for next three years.
A meeting chaired by Deputy Mayor of KMC and Coordinator of the Revenue Advisory Committee Sunita Dangol projected income and expenditure by reviewing the sources of internal revenue, revenue sectors and scope, and accounts of expenditure.
The meeting estimated income of Rs 15.1 billion for the fiscal year 2083/84, Rs 15.5 billion for fiscal year 084/85, and Rs 15.9 billion for fiscal year 2085/86.
The actual income of KMC for FY 2081/82 was Rs 10.74 billion. KMC has set an income target of Rs 15.11 billion 1 for the current fiscal year, of which Rs 5.69 billion has been collected so far.
On the expenditure side, estimates are Rs 27.62 billion for FY 2083/84, Rs 30.38 billion for FY 2084/85, and Rs 33.42 billion for FY 2085/86.
