Kathmandu, March 7: In the ongoing vote counting for the House of Representatives election, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has so far won in 27 areas.
According to the election results up to 10:15 in the morning, the candidates from RSP are leading in 90 electoral constituencies, the Election Commission has stated.

According to the EC, the RSP candidates who have been declared as the winners are Santosh Rajbanshi in Morang-4, Rubina Acharya in Morang-6, Manish Jha in Dhanusha-3, Pramod Kumar Mahato in Mahottari-1, Arvinda Saha in Bara-3, Buddhiprasad Pant in Parsa-1, Ranju Neupane in Kathmandu-1, Sunil KC in Kathmandu-2, Rajunath Pandey in Kathmandu-3, Pukar Bam in Kathmandu-4, Sasmit Pokhrel in Kathmandu-5, Shishir Khanal in Kathmandu-6, Ganesh Parajuli in Kathmandu-7, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha in Kathmandu-8, Dol Prasad Aryal in Kathmandu-9, Pradeep Bista in Kathmandu-10 and Rukesh Ranjit in Bhaktapur-1 have already been elected.

Similarly, the Election Commission has reported that RSP candidates Rabi Lamichhane has won in Chitwan Constituency No. 2, Uttam Prasad Paudel in Kaski Constituency No. 2, Beena Gurung in Kaski 3, Dhananjay Regmi in Syangja 1, Sagar Bhusal in Parbat 1, Sulabh Kharel in Rupandehi 2, Dr. Lekhjang Thapa in Rupandehi 3, Kanhaiya Baniya in Rupandehi 4, Suresh Kumar Chaudhary in Banke Constituency No. 1, Khagendra Sunar in Banke 3, and Komal Gyawali in Kailali 1.

According to the EC, results have been announced for 34 constituencies so far. Out of a total of 165 constituencies in the first-past-the-post (direct) election system, vote counting is currently underway in 161 constituencies.

The Nepali Congress has won in four constituencies. The winner NC candidates are Santosh Subba in Tehrathum Constituency No. 1, Tek Bahadur Gurung in Manang 1, Yogesh Gauchan Thakali in Mustang Constituency No. 1 and Basana Thapa in Dailekh Constituency No. 1.
In the ongoing vote count, the Nepali Congress candidates are leading in 10 constituencies.

From the Nepali Communist Party, the party’s coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has already won from Rukum East Constituency No. 1. The NCP candidates are leading in 11 constituencies in the ongoing vote count.

UML candidate Mohammad Ishtiyak Rai has won from Banke electoral constituency No. 1. UML candidates are leading in 10 electoral constituencies so far.
Independent candidate Mahabir Pun has won the election from Myagdi electoral constituency No. 1. He was supported by the RSP. Candidates from the Shram Sanskriti Party are leading in five places and candidate from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) are leading in one constituency.
