Kathmandu, June 11: The Ministry of Education and Sports has appointed Bishal Shrestha, former goalkeeper of the National Football Team, as the Vice Chairperson of the National Sports Council. The Ministry has also appointed four Board Members in the Council.
As a member of the National Football Team, Shrestha has made outstanding contributions to the country’s sports fraternity.
Shrestha, who announced his retirement from international football some years ago, is now appointed to the top post of the country’s sports sector.
Likewise, the Board Members getting appointment in the Council include table tennis player Sikka Suwal, former cricketer Shakti Gauchan, chess player Monalisa Khumbu and footballer Pawan Shahi.
