Surkhet: Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Raj Kumar Sharma, secured a vote of confidence from the Province Assembly on Friday.
Out of 39 votes, CM Sharma of the CPN (Maoist Centre) got 38 votes. Earlier, while taking a vote of confidence for the first time on January 20, he had received 25 votes.
The Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), CPN (Unified Socialist), and independent members gave a trust vote to him.
Only a single vote of Santoshi Shahi of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party was cast against CM Sharma. The next meeting of the Karnali Province Assembly is scheduled for April 2.
