Kathmandu, July 11: Currently, the country is under the of monsoon winds. The low-pressure line of monsoon is located slightly above the average place at present.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather is generally cloudy across the country. Few places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces have been witnessing light to moderate rainfall while light to moderate rainfall is taking place at one or two places of Madhes province.
The skies would remain mostly cloudy across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning and snowfall at some places in Himalayan region across the country.
Light to moderate rain along with thunder and lightning as well as snowfall is likely at many places in the hilly region of the country, according to the Department.
Similarly, light to moderate rain and snow accompanied by lightning and thunder and snowfall has been predicted at some places in Tarai region of the country.
There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places in the Hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, as well as the Hilly and Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces.
Today night, the weather would remain generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rain and snow accompanied by lightning and thunder is likely at a few places in Himalayan region of the country.
Light to moderate rain and snow accompanied by thunder and lightning has been forecast at Hilly region of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and many places in Tarai region as well as Hilly region of Karnali and Sudurpaschim province and a few places in Tarai region.
