Lalitpur: Today is the 24th commemoration day of the first elected Communist Prime Minister of Nepal, Manmohan Adhikari.
Adhikari was not only the first communist prime minister of Nepal but also the first in the entire South Asia region. Known for his simplicity, honesty, and integrity, Late Adhikari continues to be a role model for many in contemporary politics.
On the occasion of the 24th Memorial Day of former Prime Minister Late Manmohan Adhikari, Manmohan Memorial Foundation has organized a special program today.
Leaders including CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli laid a wreath on the late Adhikari’s Statue in a program organized by the Manmohan Memorial Foundation at Sanepa in Lalitpur.
At the event, CPN-UML Senior Vice President Ishwar Pokharel said that popular programs such as old age allowance, and build your own village, among others started by Adhikari-led government have been established as common programs for all.
