Kathmandu: The government has decided to request President Ram Chandra Poudel to authenticate the Citizenship Bill.
Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Prakash Jwala said the cabinet meeting held on Friday decided to urge the President to authenticate the citizenship bill which was passed by the parliament twice before.
Former President Bidhya Devi Bhandari had rejected to authenticate the bill.
It is said that the cabinet meeting also discussed Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s proposed India visit.
