Kathmandu, Jan 4: Visiting External Affairs Minister of India S Jaishankar met with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ today at the latter’s official residence in Singha Durbar. The meeting between the duo took place just after Jaishankar paid a courtesy call on President Ramchandra Paudel at the Office of President in Sheetal Niwas.
Jaishankar is on his two-day visit to Nepal to take part in the seventh meeting of the Nepal-India Joint Commission at the invitation of his counterpart Saud.
He is scheduled to hold a separate meeting with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN (UML) Chair KP Sharma Oli today afternoon.
The Indian minister will attend a dinner hosted by Minister Saud at Soaltee Hotel at 6:15 pm today.
Jaishankar is scheduled to worship at the Pashupatinath Temple at 8 am tomorrow and inaugurate the reconstructed building for the Tribhuvan University Central Library at 9 am. He is scheduled to return home tomorrow (Friday) after wrapping his two-day visit to Nepal.
