Karnali, May 28: Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yamlal Kandel, has extended a message of best wishes to all Nepali sisters and brothers on the occasion of the Republic Day, terming it a victory day.
He wished peace, prosperity and happiness to all Nepalis on this occasion. CM Kandel paid tribute to all known and unknown martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the achievement of federal republic.
The CM viewed entire people, civil society, political leaders and cadres had played their roles to usher the country into federal republic. “Republic Day is the day the people become really sovereign”, he reminded, adding that it is a significant and unforgettable day in Nepali history.
The Day abolished the system where one could get supremacy by birth and brought changes which fostered inclusive and participatory system. Equality is major achievement of our republic, he underlined.
The CM underlined the need for strengthening the system to reap utmost benefits from it. Development should go together with it, Kandel viewed.
According to him, keeping in centre people’s will best serves social justice, good governance and prosperity.
