Kathmandu, June 6: Hari Chandra Giri, a Nepali Army man, has made history by setting a record for most skips on an upright tyre in one minute. His impressive 120 skips has potentially secured him a place in the Guinness World Records. He demonstrated his skills in the premises of the Nepali Army Headquarters in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Giri has already secured four titles in various categories. His latest record includes the fastest inverted stair walking. He walked, on his hands, down 77 stairs in 25.03 seconds, surpassing the previous record held by Mark Kenny from the United States of America, the world’s best hand walker. Kenny did it in 30.8 seconds.

He achieved his first record for the fastest 10 meters walking on hands with a football (soccer ball) between the legs. He completed the task in 4.49 seconds.

Similarly, his second world record was the completion of 50 meters walking on hands with a football between the legs in 25.58 seconds. Also, he set his third Guinness World Record for the fastest inverted stair walking. He walked, on his hands, down 50 stairs in 12.65 seconds.

Giri, a permanent resident of Dang district, has served in the Nepali Army for nine years, and is currently affiliated with the Tribhuvan Army Club.
