Kathmandu, July 9: National Assembly (NA) Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal has said that everyone should have practical skills and efficiency besides academic certificates as knowledge is the foundation for prosperity.
Addressing the Education Excellence Award 2081 in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Chairman Dahal argued that the brains required for the country should be controlled from going abroad stating that the citizen’s access to education has been ensured unlike that of the Rana regime and Panchayat time.
On the occasion, the NA Chairman said that the partnership of all stakeholders was required for quality education to uplift quality in education.
Likewise, he said that there is room for reforms in the existing education system and all should work for the reforms.
Dahal assured to pass the school education bill, which is under consideration in the parliament, by preparing the basis for quality education.
During the programme, Chandani Joshi, Prof Dr Shreeram Bhagut Mathe, Surya Karki and Dippi Acharya were honoured with outstanding education honour.
