Kathmandu, July 27: A total of 16 climbers, including Sherpas, climbed Gasherbrum II (8,034 metres) in July 2024.

Led by renowned climber Chhang Dawa Sherpa, the mountaineers conquered the 13th highest mountain on earth on separate dates, said Thaneswar Guragai, General Manager of the expedition organiser, Seven Summit Treks, a leading Kathmandu-based expedition operator.

SST has congratulated the entire team for their achievement.

Summiteers who conquered the peak on 21 July, 2024, marking the first successful ascent for this season include:

  1. Alina Pekova (Russia)
  2. Dorota Lidia-Samocko (Poland)
  3. Josette Valloton (Switzerland)
  4. Marco Camandona (Italy)
  5. Pasang Tenje Sherpa (Nepal)
  6. Dawa Nurbu Sherpa (Nepal)
  7. Chhangba Sherpa (Nepal)
  8. Shahida Jamil Afridi (Pakistan)
  9. Rana Hassan Javaid (Pakistan)
  10. Phurbu Kusang Sherpa (Nepal)
  11. Pasang Dukpa Sherpa (Nepal)

Summiteers, who made it on 22 July, 2024 are:

  1. Vadim Druelle (France)
  2. Nadhira Al Harthy (Oman)
  3. Pasang Sherpa (Nepal)

Climbers who reached the summit on 23 July, 2024 include:

  1. Israfil Ashurli (Azerbaijan)
  2. Taraman Tamang (Nepal)
