Kathmandu, July 28: A team from Seven Summit Treks, including Sherpa guides, climbed Mount K2 on July 28, 2024 at around 9:00 am (local time). Expedition leader Chhang Dawa Sherpa confirmed the summit.

Ming Temba Sherpa, a team member, played a crucial role by fixing the ropes from the Bottleneck to the summit. With this ascent, Ming Temba has made his 4th successful ascent of K2.

Similarly, Sirbaz Khan contributed significantly to rope fixing and the overall safety of the team.

This achievement was made possible by the teamwork and collaboration of several dedicated teams.

  • The Italian team opened a route from base camp to Camp 1.
  • SST took charge from Camp 1 to 150 metres below Camp 3.
  • Imagine Nepal managed to fix the ropes from 150 metres below Camp 3 to Camp 3.
  • Seven Summit Treks fixed the ropes from Camp 3 to the lower Camp 4.
  • From lower Camp 4 to the Bottleneck, there was a combined effort from Madison, 8K, Imagine Nepal, Glacier Himalayan, and SST.
  • From the Bottleneck to the summit, a mixed team led by Ming Temba Sherpa from SST took charge.
