Ilam, Aug 11: Sujata Sunuwar has been awarded the ‘Indigenous Nationalities Contribution Prize-2081 BS’. The prize carrying a purse of Rs 10,000 has been handed to Sunuwar amidst a programme organised here today on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Federation of Nepalese Indigenous Journalists (FONIJ).
Ilam municipality mayor Kedar Thapa, FONIJ vice-president Kaman Dewan and FONIJ Ilam jointly honored the journalist.
Sunuwar who started her journalism career from the Ilam-based local radio Ilam FM is now associated with the Kathmandu-based Ujjyalo Radio Network.
