Dang, Aug 22: An improvised explosive device went off at Mahendra Multiple Campus in Ghorahi, Dang today at around 9 am, said the police.
The police have arrested two students of the campus in connection with the blast. District Police Chief Superintendent of Police Ram Bahadur KC informed that Abhiyan Thapa and Subham Karki of Ghorahi Sub Metropolitan City-15, were arrested.
The police said that the arrested students gave a statement that they detonated an IED for fun. The arrestees came on a motorcycle and blasted the IED, said KC, adding that, “Further investigation is underway.”
