Kathmandu, Aug 27. Monsoon currently has its effect in the country with the low pressure line located in south of the average place towards west and around average place towards east. At present, there is partially to general cloudy across the country, and light rain with thundershower at some places in Koshi and Lumbini provinces, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
This afternoon, it will be partly to general cloudy in the hilly areas of the country, including Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, and partly cloudy to mostly clear sky in the rest of the country. Light to moderate rain with thundershower is likely at few places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and at few places in hilly areas of Koshi Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
Similarly, it will be partly to general cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Lumbini provinces tonight, and it will remain partly cloudy in the rest of the provinces. Light to moderate rain with thundershower is likely at few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Lumbini provinces and one or two places in remaining provinces. There is also a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Lumbini province.
Meanwhile, the Division has asked people to remain vigilant due to risks of disasters.
