Kathmandu, Aug 28: Monsoon winds are currently affecting the country with the low pressure line located to the south of average place to the west and around average place to the east. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, it is now partly to generally cloudy across the country with Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces experiencing light rain.
There will be partly to generally cloudy across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thundershower at some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Lumbini provinces and one or two places in the remaining provinces. Similarly, there is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places of Koshi, Madhesh and Lumbini provinces.
It will be partly to generally cloudy across the country tonight. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thundershower at some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Lumbini provinces and a couple of places in the remaining provinces. According to the Division, there is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places of Koshi, Lumbini and Karnali provinces.
As there is a possibility of heavy rain in some parts of the country in the next 24 hours, the Division has urged people to exercise caution against the risk or damage of disasters.
