Tanahun, Aug 28: A person, who has gone missing in a vehicle plunge, is yet to be found five days after the accident.
An Indian number plate vehicle (UP 53 FT 7623) skidded off the road and fell into the Marsyangdi river at Ainapahara of Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality-2 alone the Prithvi Highway, killing 27 people and injuring 16 others. The vehicle was headed to Kathmandu from Pokhara. The missing person identified as Gokarni Sandip Sarode, 22, has not been found yet as of Tuesday, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Dipak Raya, adding that the search for him is ongoing. There was a suspicion that Sarode might have been perished inside the vehicle.
Although the vehicle was pulled out on Monday, he was not found, said Raya. Sarode’s parents, both father and mother, died in the accident. “A search was launched for him based on details given by the injured. But he has not been found yet.”
