Banke, Sept 2: Four people have died and seven people have fallen ill due to diarrhoea in Narainapur in Banke, according to health workers. The disease has taken its toll at Gegali village. Chair of Narainapur-3 Ajaya Mishra said the deceased have been identified as 25-year-old Rusa Pasi and her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Nandani Pasi, 60-year-old Shanti Pasi and 10-year-old Yusuf Ali.
A health worker’s team has been treating the patients at the village, said Nagendra Kumar Sah, head of the health branch of Narainapur Rural Municipality. “A team of health workers including myself is treating the patients.” Health workers have also coordinated with the Banke Health Office to control diarrhea, he added.
