Kathmandu, Sept 14: USAID Deputy Assistant Administrator Anjali Kaur wrapped up her visit to Nepal. During her visit, she met with Government of Nepal Officials, women political leaders and USAID/Nepal’s private sector partners.
DDA Kaur held discussions with Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arzu Rana Deuba and Ministry of Finance officials, reaffirming the United States’ commitment to Nepal’s prosperity.
She also had discussions with Nepal’s elected women parliamentarians and political leaders emphasising the importance of women’s roles in policy discussions and decision-making.
Additionally, DAA Kaur met with Nepal’s leading digital businesses in education, tourism, accounting, cybersecurity, and workforce development, exploring innovative ideas for a secure digital economy landscape, according to the U.S. Embassy in Nepal.
Kaur’s visit highlighted the impact of the continued U.S. development assistance in Nepal while providing valuable opportunities to discuss key issues and identify areas for future collaboration, according to the U.S. Embassy in Nepal.
DAA Kaur’s visit reflects the United States’ continued commitment to supporting Nepal’s progress and development while providing an opportunity for her to consolidate bilateral ties between Nepal and the United States, it added.
