Gandaki, Sept 15: The Pokhara Photographers’ Association has awarded the fourth ‘Ashok Lifetime Achievement Photography Award’ to Mukunda Shakya, a photographer from Baglung.
Chief of Gandaki province, Dilliraj Bhatt, handed over the award carrying a purse of Rs. 25,555 to Shakya at a function held in Pokhara on Saturday.
Advisor to Baglung Photographers’ Association, Shakya has been active in the photography field for the past six decades.
The award has been established by Durga Paudel, the adviser of the Association, in memory of photojournalist Ashok Bataju of Pokhara.
