Kathmandu, Oct 9: A team of 29 climbers, including Sherpas, scaled Shishapangma (8,027m), the world’s 14th highest peak on October 9 with many of them setting records. Most of them reached atop the mountain at 6 am (China time), said Thaneswar Guragai, General Manager of Seven Summit Treks.

This remarkable achievement marks a significant milestone for 12 climbers, who have completed the 14 Peaks challenge, entering the exclusive 8000ers club of mountaineers who have climbed the world’s highest peaks over 8000m.

Among the summiteers, Nepali climber Nima Rinji Sherpa became the youngest person to summit all 14 of the world’s highest peaks over 8000m at 18 years and 5 months old.
