Washington D.C: The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has concluded its Art of Advocacy workshop, a two-month program designed to empower women in the legal profession as part of its Advancing Women in Law series.
Running from September through October, the workshop brought together 20 women prosecutors and 35 women judicial officers to learn from leading trial attorneys, judges, and law professors.
Participants engaged in specialized training on courtroom procedures, oral advocacy, and legal writing to enhance their skills and strengthen their impact in the justice system.
Through this initiative, the DOJ aims to build a more inclusive, diverse, and equitable legal field that reflects the communities it serves.
The Art of Advocacy workshop is part of the DOJ’s ongoing mission to support diversity in legal careers, recognizing that a range of perspectives in the courtroom leads to fairer and more balanced justice for all.
