Dailekh — U.S. Ambassador Dean Thompson and USAID Nepal Mission Director Katie Donohoe visited Redcross Secondary School in Dailekh to showcase the ongoing collaboration between the United States and Nepal in advancing education for underserved communities.

The visit spotlighted the USAID Equity and Inclusion in Education initiative, a program dedicated to identifying and reintegrating out-of-school children while improving educational access and quality for marginalized students in grades 6-10.

The initiative underscores the commitment of both nations to tackle disparities in education, particularly in remote areas like Karnali Province. It works closely with local governments and schools to ensure long-term improvements in learning opportunities.

The program continues to strengthen ties between the U.S. and Nepal while transforming the lives of children through equitable and inclusive education solutions.
