Kathmandu : Minister for Communication and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung asserted that the incumbent government was always responsible towards addressing the needs of the citizens.
At a ceremony organized to celebrate the 59th anniversary of The Rising Nepal, Nepal’s the first English broadsheet published daily by the Gorkhapatra Corporation, Minister Gurung said that the incumbent government was actively addressing the problems faced by the citizens.
He added that the government was working to tackle the anomalies prevailing the Cooperatives sector and to resolve payment related issues of dairy farmers and sugar farmer. He informed that some amount were released and paid prior to the Dashain festival while remaining dues will be cleared at the earliest.
Additionally, the Minister mentioned about the measures taken by the government to support the victims of cooperative scams and usury.
On a different note, Minister Gurung, also Spokesperson of the government, asserted of the signing of the Belt and Road Initiative cooperation framework between Nepal and China during Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s official visit to China was in the interest of Nepal.
