Kathmandu : Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav at latter’s office yesterday.
According to the Vice President’s press coordinator Dinesh Yadav, various issues of mutual interest and bilateral ties, exchange of high-level visits, economic cooperation, development priorities of Nepal and cooperation on bilateral, regional and international platforms were discussed in the meeting.
On that occasion, Ambassador Srivastava mentioned that India’s ‘neighbourhood first’ policy has been continuously promoted. He further added that although the federal government has banned the export of wheat, two lakh tonnes of wheat has been allowed to be exported to Nepal.
