Kathmandu, Jan 23: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said that presently the weather is partly cloudy in the hilly regions of Sudurpaschim, Gandaki and Karnali provinces and fair in the rest of the country. Also, there is foggy weather in many parts of the Terai.
This afternoon the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Karnali, Sudurpaschim, Gandaki, Lumbini and Koshi provinces and fair in the rest of the country, the Meteorological Forecasting Division predicted.
Light rain is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly region of the Sudurpaschim province.
There is possibility of snowfall in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Gandaki and Koshi provinces.
Similarly, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces tonight.
There are chances of light snowfall at some places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali, Sudurpaschim, Gandaki and Koshi provinces.
In the next 24 hours, light rain is likely to occur at some places of the hilly region of the Sudurpaschim province. Likewise, light snowfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali, Sudurpaschim and Gandaki provinces. The foggy weather is likely to affect daily life, agriculture, health, transport and air travel at many places of the Tarai on Friday morning, the Division said
