Janakpur, Jan 27: The Greater Janakpur Area Development Council has appointed Baidya Nath Paswan as its Executive Director for a four-year term. The position was lying vacant since the last two years.
Paswan was selected to fill the vacant position through an open competition and he has been appointed the Executive Director for four-year tenure in accordance with Clause 17(1) of the Council Act, said the Council Chairperson Sheetal Jha.
Paswan is a resident of Sanukhara, Mahottari Rural Municipality-1 in Mahottari district.
The Council was instituted under the leadership of Nepali Congress then leader Mahendra Narayan Nidhi for the conservation and promotion of religious heritages in Mahottari and the adjoining various local levels within the Mithila Madhyamiki Parikrama area.
