Kathmandu, Jan 30: The Westerly wind has its influence in the country at present and the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly region of Koshi, Gandaki, Bagmati and Karnali provinces and fair in the rest of the country today.
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said foggy condition prevails in many places of Tarai at present. There is possibility of light snowfall at one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous region of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
The weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly region and clear in the rest of the regions of the country tonight. It will be partly cloudy in the hilly region of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces and fair in the rest of the country.
There are chances of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous region of Koshi and Gandaki provinces in the next 24 hours, according to the Department.
It stated that fog is likely to occur in many places of the Tarai on Friday morning, and has urged all concerned to remain alert as it may affect daily life, agriculture, health, transport and aviation.
