Galkot (Baglung), Feb 8: CPN (Maoist Centre) Secretary Hitman Shakya has said that his party has taken the role of the opposition as an opportunity. He informed that a people-centric programme has been launched for the transformation of Maoists.
At a press conference organized by the Press Centre Baglung today, Shakya, who is also the Bagmati Province in-charge, said that the Maoist Centre would participate in the upcoming elections after identifying the problems of the people.
On another note, he argued that the Constitution should not be amended in a regressive manner. He said there is a need to end costly elections, saying corruption will not go away until governing and electoral system were reformed.
