Kathmandu, Feb 20: A programme was organized at the Embassy of Nepal in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on the occasion of National Democracy Day on Wednesday.
Nepal’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Naresh Bikram Dhakal recalled the contributions of martyrs, including Shukraraj Shastri, Dashrath Chand, Dharmabhakta Mathema and Gangalal Shrestha for establishing democracy.
According to the Embassy, a minute’s silence was observed in honour of the martyrs who laid down their lives for democracy and civil rights.
