KATHMANDU – The “Support to Schools and Communities in Remote Areas for Pandemic Prevention and Green Recovery (SSPP-GR)” project has successfully concluded, marking a significant milestone in Nepal’s education and community development.
Funded by the Global Development and South-South Cooperation Fund of China Aid, the project was implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in collaboration with the China Foundation for Rural Development (CFRD). Over 2.5 years, it has made a lasting impact on 32 schools, benefiting 18,000 students and 7,500 families across Nepal’s remote regions.
The initiative focused on strengthening pandemic prevention measures, enhancing learning environments, and promoting sustainable recovery efforts. Its successful completion underscores the importance of international partnerships in fostering community resilience and advancing education in underserved areas.
